Inside the creative heartbeat of The Jegna Klub, something powerful unfolded on March 14, 2026. What began as a routine youth-led interview quickly transformed into a meaningful exchange of faith, growth, and authenticity as Kansas City Gospel and Christian rapper Brotha Mike stepped into the spotlight—guided by the next generation of storytellers. This wasn’t just an interview. It was a moment.

A Meeting of Purpose and Preparation

Before the cameras rolled for JegnaTalk—the flagship youth media show featured on JEGNAFEST Worldwide Radio and streamed via Jegna Klub TV Network—there was anticipation in the air. Brotha Mike, born Michael Briggs, admitted he walked in “nervous and excited… because I didn’t know what to expect and I knew that this was some kind of exposure.” That honesty set the tone for what would become a deeply human and relatable experience.

Across the room, youth interns were feeling their own mix of emotions. Jegna Klub Intern Bryan  shared, “I was feeling excited because I had listened to Brotha Mike’s new single and I had really enjoyed it—so to meet him in person felt good.” For Lead Interviewer Zahdai, confidence came from preparation: “I felt very confident… because I already had knowledge about the person I was interviewing.” And in that moment, something special was already happening—preparation meeting purpose.

Lights On. Growth Activated.

As the interview began, the unexpected quickly became the catalyst for growth.

“The questions out the gate caught me off guard,” Brotha Mike admitted, “but the experience was amazing.” That same sense of real-time learning extended to the interns. Zahdai reflected, “First I kept messing up but I got it down and had a great time… I can really relate to most of the stuff Brotha Mike said.”

That relatability became the bridge. Through simple, honest answers—something that even surprised Bryan was “he didn’t share a lot of stories and kept the answers real simple.” Brotha Mike demonstrated a powerful lesson: impact doesn’t require complexity. It requires truth.

More Than Music: A Message That Landed

While the conversation touched on music, it was the personal moments that resonated most deeply. JegnaTalk Intern Payton highlighted a standout moment was, “Brotha Mike’s response about his grandmother and prayer.” Though brief, that response carried emotional weight—revealing the roots behind the artist and reminding everyone in the room that purpose is often shaped by people, not platforms. Coach Keyron Kimbrough captured the broader significance of the moment saying his “Favorite part was Brotha Mike having a heart-to-heart with the interns during pictures.” Even after the cameras stopped rolling, the engagement continued.

The Power of Youth-Led Spaces

Perhaps the most impactful takeaway for Brotha Mike wasn’t the interview itself—but who was leading it. “Actually seeing the youth operate and do all of the work and being able to converse and share with them” stood out as his favorite part of the experience.

That’s the model of The Jegna Klub in action: youth not just participating—but leading. From hosting and co-interviewing to managing tech and production, interns like Zahdai, Bryan and Payton stepped fully into their roles. And in doing so, they gained more than experience—they gained confidence. “Never be afraid to mess up… always have confidence and never be worried,” Bryan reflected. Payton echoed growth in his own way: “Speak up with confidence even more.” And Zahdai delivered a mindset shift that defines the JegnaTalk experience, “Just keep it going! Don’t quit just because you messed up once or twice doesn’t mean you can’t succeed.”

A Full Circle Moment of Transformation

For those who knew Brotha Mike before his transformation, this moment carried even deeper meaning. Coach Mo reflected, “I have known Mike for many years and seen his transformation from Money Mike to Brotha Mike… to see him comfortable with being uncomfortable while speaking about his true journey was a testimony in itself.” That transformation—rooted in faith, growth, and purpose—wasn’t just told. It was felt. And fittingly, it aligned with his latest musical direction, described as part of his “Faith Walk.

Beyond the Mic: Impact That Lasts

The experience didn’t end when the interview wrapped. Coach Keyz shared that he was “ecstatic because he brought everyone shirts,” but even more impactful was the message Brotha Mike left behind with the interns to “Take advantage of your advantage.” It’s a phrase that now lives beyond that room—echoing in the minds of every intern who participated.

The Bigger Picture

Moments like this are exactly why JegnaTalk and JEGNAFEST Worldwide Radio exist—to create real-world platforms where youth voices matter, stories are shared authentically, and growth happens in real time. And through Jegna Klub TV Network, these moments extend far beyond Kansas City—reaching audiences worldwide. Because when young people are trusted with the mic, they don’t just ask questions. They create impact.
